Forgive the familiarity but thought it acceptable as I usually enjoy your banter, specially TBoy’s caustic wit with my morning coffee. Dont know if this will reach you as it seems the site was last updated in Feb 06, but surely worth a try..
Was specially intrigued with ur interview w/ Maricel, a professed psychic, defined as one apparently sensitive to forces beyond the physical world. Found it amusing that she said a lot of things we kinda wanted to hear. What i found disturbing however,is her strong endorsment of the use of Psalms 35 & 102 as very effective prayers… and how can one dispute that? But these prayers cry out to the Lord, God and Creator of the Universe, the same God who speaks in Deuteronomy 18:9-12, 2Kings 21:6, Rev 21:8, etc. We cannot use just Psalms for our purpose and delete the other books, can we?
Who among us would not want to know what the future holds, but we are to “…walk by faith, not by sight” 2Cor5:7 The power of prayer is undeniable and we all profess faith in a God, as do all “God” loving and fearing folks around the world of every creed & race. But the God of the Bible is quite definite on how we are to live our lives and how we can access Him. And it is not thru fortune-telling, divination or whatever other means man may think or imagine or conjure up.
