One of the listeners of Wanted sa Radyo reported a police brutality of some of the policemen of Malolos Bulacan. Chief of Police Col. Manuel Lucban has been said that he is tolerating his men. And for some reason “Mr. Aksyon Man” Raffy Tulfo was so much angry to those policemen.

Everyone is rockin’ to a new sound these days: the sound of upcoming rock band Salamin, which has just launched its self-titled debut album under NuGen Music.

Salamin is composed of Bogs Paterno, EO Marcos, Miks Bersales, Justin Alfafara and Paolo Valenciano. The band—which counts among its musical influences rock icons like Rush, Incubus, Led Zeppelin, Muse, Iron Maiden, DT, Mars Volta and Sparta—was formed out of countless “trial-and-error jamming sessions.”

“Umaga” talks about the struggles of today and how turning to God is the way to solve one’s challenges. The first single is enjoying massive airplay in radio stations.

Their name was suggested by their former vocalist, JR Enrile, who took it from a building he saw in Salcedo Village, Makati. JR remains a quiet supporter of the group, occasionally jamming with them and watching their gigs. JR was co-writer for their first single “Umaga” as well as “Pulso” and “Midnight Silence.”
